The mission of the Foresthill Physical Education Department is to deliver a quality physical education program that empowers each student to make responsible lifestyle choices that directly impact his/her health and well-being. Students are encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge in the areas of physical fitness through consistent physical activity. I was born and raised in the Sacramento area and after attending Point Loma Nazarene University, studying exercise science in San Diego I returned home to work at a local gym as a personal trainer and children's fitness coordinator. Fast forward a few years, I chose to return to school, Cal Poly SLO, to earn my teaching credential in Physical Education. In 2001 I began my career at PUHSD working at Del Oro as a Cardio/Health, PE and Sports Medicine teacher. I am in my second year at Foresthill as Teacher/Athletic Director and looking forward to watching more Wildfire games! In my free time, I love spending hanging out with my husband and two sons. Cooper, my oldest son, has just graduated from PLNU in San Diego and Bode is in 8th grade. He enjoys school, friends, swim-team, scouts and 4H and he keeps me young. My hubby is my hero! We take time each summer camping with our pop up trailer or traveling with family. My life is full, which allows me to pour out the overflow to my students. My desire is to share my knowledge about health and wellness to the young people I meet and inspire them to become individuals committed to personal and community health. | Classes: Fall 2019 - Health
