Welcome to Physical Education at Foresthill High School

The mission of the Foresthill Physical Education Department is to deliver a quality physical education program that empowers each student to make responsible lifestyle choices that directly impact his/her health and well-being. Students are encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge in the areas of physical fitness through consistent physical activity.

About Mrs. Farren

I was born and raised in the Sacramento area and after attending Point Loma Nazarene University, studying exercise science in San Diego I returned home to work at a local gym as a personal trainer and children's fitness coordinator.  Fast forward a few years, I chose to return to school, Cal Poly SLO, to earn my teaching credential in Physical Education. In 2001 I began my career at PUHSD working at Del Oro as a Cardio/Health, PE and Sports Medicine teacher. In 2009 I became an administrator and spent several years growing as a school leader there. In 2016      I had the privilege to venture to Harvest Ridge Cooperative Charter School in Newcastle and as their site Principal I developed more leadership capacity working with K-8 wonderful students, parents and teachers. This year I am returning to my roots joining the Foresthill teaching staff and trying my hand as the new Athletic Director.  In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and two sons.  Cooper, my oldest son, is in his final year of college at PLNU studying business and making and drinking lots of coffee.  Bode is 12 and entering 7th grade at Harvest Ridge.  He enjoys school, friends, swim-team, scouts and 4H and he keeps me young! My hubby is my hero, who this summer planned our latest camping/hiking adventure to Glacier National Park. My life is full which allows me to pour out lots of love and attention to my students.  My desire is to share my knowledge about health and wellness to the young people I meet/mentor and inspire them to become individuals committed to personal and community health.
